“we are as free from the grip of foreign oil as we’ve been in almost 30 years.” 2:25
“The shadow of crisis has passed, and the State of the Union is strong.” 3:45
“Will we allow ourselves to be sorted into factions and turned against one another — or will we recapture the sense of common purpose that has always propelled America forward?” 5:10
Obama waded into energy markets in summer 2011, announcing the release of 30 million barrels of crude from the nation’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve. The move was coordinated with a similar release from international reserves. Dumping that much oil onto the market should have sent prices plummeting, right?
Wrong. The price of gasoline was a national average of $3.71 per gallon the week before the June 23, 2011 announcement. Over the next two months, gasoline prices wavered as the government released more oil. The week after the last barrel was shipped, the national average was $3.73 per gallon, according to government price records.
In other words, prices increased despite a massive release of surplus oil in the U.S. At best, the administration could say it helped control prices at a time of global concern over oil supplies. But that’s about it.
“Middle-class economics works.” 11:18
Neologism. Middle class economics is not a thing. Presupposition, this is the middle class. It isn’t the middle class it is the lower middle class or the slave, plebeian class, or the working class majority.
“And these policies will continue to work, as long as politics don’t get in the way.”
“or refighting past battles on immigration”
presupposition, immigration is a “past battle” that has already been decided…
“And if a bill comes to my desk that tries to do any of these things, it will earn my veto.”
Umm, isn’t that political obstructionism?
“it will earn my veto” 12 min.
He is not responsible for his actions, the bill is responsible for his actions.
Why does Obama keep name dropping Rebecca? Who is he speaking to? and what is he saying, which is to say, how is it being interpreted? This is called Hermeneutics…
Rebecca (also spelled Rebekah) (Hebrew: רִבְקָה, Modern Rivká Tiberian Riḇqā ISO 259-3 Ribqa, from theHebrew ribhqeh (lit., “connection”), from Semitic root r-b-q, “to tie, couple or join”, “to secure”, or “to snare”) appears in the Hebrew Bible as the wife of Isaac and the mother of Jacob and Esau. Rebecca and Isaac were one of the four couples believed to be buried in the Cave of the Patriarchs, the other three being Adam and Eve, Abraham and Sarah, and Jacob and Leah. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rebecca
Rebekah, was related to Laban who was Arabic.
He Ad libbed this -this is actually not in the transcript…
“Because families like Rebekah’s still need our help. She and Ben are working as hard as ever, but have to forego vacations and a new car so they can pay off student loans and save for retirement. Basic childcare for Jack and Henry costs more than their mortgage, and almost as much as a year at the University of Minnesota. “
In Islam, Friday (from sundown Thursday to sundown Friday, simpler than midnight to midnight in a pre-clock age) corresponds to Sunday in Christianity and Saturday (Friday evening to Saturday evening) in Judaism and Sabbatarian Christianity, as a holy day. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friday#Religious_observances
“That’s what middle-class economics is — the idea that this country does best when everyone gets their fair shot, everyone does their fair share, and everyone plays by the same set of rules. We don’t just want everyone to share in America’s success — we want everyone to contribute to our success.”
“And that’s why my plan will make quality childcare more available, and more affordable, for every middle-class and low-income family with young children in America — by creating more slots and a new tax cut of up to $3,000 per child, per year.”
almost thought you said “sluts”
DISPARATE IMPACT CREATED IN FAVOR OF PEOPLE WITH MULTIPLE WIVES WHO REPRODUCE IRRESPONSIBLY (MUSLIMS) AND SINGLE WOMEN ON WELFARE WHO HAVE CHILDREN AS A PROFESSION AND RAISE THEM TO PARASITE OFF THE SYSTEM AND HATE AMERICA.
“Of course, nothing helps families make ends meet like higher wages”
What families? Women use divorce as a threat to get their way..
“Send me a bill that gives every worker in America the opportunity to earn seven days of paid sick leave. It’s the right thing to do.”
Including illegal aliens, you know, the working “middle class”…
“If you truly believe you could work full-time and support a family on less than $15,000 a year, go try it. If not, vote to give millions of the hardest-working people in America a raise.”
Again, he is talking about the “middle class”.
“We still need laws that strengthen rather than weaken unions, and give American workers a voice.”
Soviet (Russian: сове́т, Russian pronunciation: [sɐˈvʲɛt], English: Council) was a name used for several Russian political organizations. Examples include the Czar’s Council of Ministers, which was called the “Soviet of Ministers”; a workers local council in late Imperial Russia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soviet_(council)
